You hope what they probe is sealed from their glare. For deep underneath you’ve hidden it there… You forbid your lids from bearing your soul. You fear what comes near may swallow you whole. You clench like a wrench to guard from what sneaks. Though still you can’t will but to venture a peek… Despite the bleak lights you open your eyes. You head toward your dread to see what there spies.
