“ravens & birches” Posted on August 4, 2011 by alexandersoul down in the depths of the hollow there awaits a dubious hue. there hides a peculiar undertone down where the odd ones brew. suddenly calls a blackbird from somewhere within its chest. from out of nowhere it beckons, suddenly arrive the rest. once assembled they clamor their delightfully evil yell. their harmonies rekindle what once had the steeple bell. vacantly they holler though they all seem so aware. they never seemed so eerie, vacantly they stare. white was once all over, black is now the brighter. black wings cover branches, white no longer the lighter. overwhelm the fiends their haven and whisper like empty churches. and so the devious ravens overwhelm the once white birches. I like this. I’m a fan of nature poetry, and this is very nice. Thanks
